How long has this site been around?
We started this site in April of 1999. We do our best to advertise in commands throughout the city and surrounding counties. All monies collected in fees is plowed back into advertising. (pens, fliers, targeted magazine ads)
Is it free?
Come on. It is very close to free. $150 per year for a service (business) listing. $200 with a hyperlink to your site or photos. $30 for a 3 month classified ad. $50 with pictures or hyperlinks attached. We held the line as long as we could (8 years) and then instituted a modest price increase.
What is free is our Mutual Section, our Uniforms & Equipment, Hiring, Seeking Employment, 10-13's, Rackets/Reunions and our Event Tickets Sections.
Please don't submit in all capital letters, as much as we want to help, we simply do not have time to retype everything.
When is the last time you raised the prices?
The very first time we raised our prices was 8 years after inception. We have to pay the bills too. We are about building something here, not making money. It all gets put right back into advertising anyway.
Who are you?
We are active/retired members of the service who have utilized other members' services in the past and were very happy with the results.
How much information must I supply to be listed?
We offer the following recommendations:
We need your name, address, and phone number for billing purposes. However we will list only that information that you want listed. We offer the following guidelines:
For an established business or a DBA – we recommend listing by the business name with a contact person and phone number.
For persons doing business as a sole proprietorship or those who do not want their full name disclosed for whatever reason, we recommend a telephone number (can be a pager) and a contact person to ask for.
We will indicate on the web page that customers should mention SIDEGIG.COM so that you will know where the referral is coming from
What if I don't own a business but know plumbing or carpentry or have another skill?
You are who we are looking for. Not everyone owns a business. Our goal is to help members make some money while helping other members save some money.
Have we dealt with every person listed?
We have dealt with most of the original people listed. We obviously have no personal dealings with everyone offering a product or service. We recommend you interview anyone you anticipate hiring to do a job and ask for references.

Do you accept credit cards?
Yes we accept Mastercard and Visa through Paypal. In addition, if you are new to Paypal you get a $5 credit for signing up. There is never a cost to you for using Paypal.
I submitted my ad more than 10 minutes ago and I don't see it posted yet.
Sometimes it takes a little while to get stuff posted, especially all the free stuff. We are happy and willing to help, but chill out.
